Privacy policy in plain language.
PIPEDA-aligned. Written so a busy owner can read it in five minutes. If anything's unclear, the email at the bottom is a real one.
Last updated: May 2026 · Governs: mytradesdesk.ca and the audit at /audit.
The short version
We collect the minimum information needed to reply to you or send you your audit report. We don't sell your data. We don't add you to a marketing list without your consent. You can ask us to delete anything we hold about you, any time, and we'll do it within 30 days.
01 · Who's responsible
My Trades Desk is operated by Ghalib Ahmad, based in Ontario, Canada. For privacy questions, contact ahmad.aibot4@gmail.com.
02 · What we collect
Three categories, depending on what you do on the site:
- If you run the audit: the eight answers (trade, service area, call volume, missed-call rate, response speed, average job value, tools, biggest pain), plus your email address and consent if you ask us to email the report.
- If you send a contact-form message: your name, email, optional phone, optional business name and type, your selected role, and the message you wrote.
- If you visit any page: standard server logs (IP, browser, referring page, time), Vercel Analytics page-view data, and Google Analytics page-view data when enabled. If you arrive from a Google ad, the Google tag may also measure whether that ad led to a phone click or form/audit submission. No Facebook pixel. No remarketing or ad-personalization signals.
03 · What we don't collect
- We don't track you across other websites.
- We don't collect data from your customers — only from you, the owner running the audit.
- We don't ask for SIN, credit card numbers, or banking info on this site. If you become a client, payment details go through a Canadian-compliant processor (Stripe, Square, or e-transfer) that we don't store ourselves.
04 · Why we collect it
- Audit answers + email: to generate your report, email it to you, and follow up only if you ask us to.
- Contact form: to reply to your message.
- Server logs + analytics: to keep the site running, see which pages people read, and fix things that break.
05 · Where it lives
Audit answers and contact-form submissions are stored on infrastructure in Canada and the US (Vercel + our analytics provider). All transmission is encrypted (TLS). We use the same security posture as any modern small-business SaaS — that includes access controls, principle of least privilege, and a private contact for breach reporting.
06 · Who we share it with
Three categories, all narrowly scoped:
- The email provider that delivers your report (Resend or equivalent).
- Vercel, which hosts the site and provides anonymized page analytics.
- Google Analytics and Google Ads, when enabled, for aggregate website usage and ad conversion measurement. Ad personalization remains disabled.
- Nobody else. We don't sell your data. We don't share it with advertising networks. We don't trade it.
07 · How long we keep it
Audit answers + email: 24 months by default, or until you ask us to delete them. Contact-form submissions: 24 months. Server logs: 30 days. Analytics: aggregated forever; per-visitor data is anonymized after 30 days.
08 · Your rights under PIPEDA
You can ask us to:
- Tell you what we have about you.
- Correct anything that's wrong.
- Delete it entirely.
- Export a copy in a readable format.
Email ahmad.aibot4@gmail.comwith "Privacy request" in the subject line. We'll reply within 5 business days and complete the request within 30. No fee, no friction.
09 · Cookies
We use one functional cookie set by Vercel for hosting purposes. We use one localStorage entry on the audit page so you can resume the quiz if you reload. Google Analytics and Google Ads may set measurement cookies when enabled so we can tell whether paid ads lead to phone clicks or form/audit submissions. We keep ad personalization and remarketing disabled.
10 · Marketing communications
We don't run a drip campaign. If you ask for the audit report, we send the report and a short follow-up only if you check the consent box. CASL-compliant. Every email has a one-click unsubscribe. We don't have a newsletter you can be added to without explicitly asking.
11 · Children
This site isn't intended for anyone under 18. We don't knowingly collect data from minors.
12 · Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we update the date at the top and post a short note on the homepage for 30 days. We don't make quiet policy changes.
13 · Questions, complaints, problems
Email ahmad.aibot4@gmail.com. If we can't resolve it, you can also contact the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada at priv.gc.ca.
This policy is plain-language by design. It is not a substitute for formal legal advice. If you need a signed version for procurement, ask and we'll arrange one.
